Hello, my name is Krista.
I am the founder of this practice. I am a registered psychologist in the province of Alberta and did my graduate training right here at the University of Alberta. I have a Masters and PhD degree in educational psychology with a focus in special education. Continuing to learn and grow is very important to me. I love my job and wouldn’t do anything else. I’m thrilled to be able to do the work I love in the city I call home.
Some of my treatment orientations are:
Cognitive Behavioural (CBT)
Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT)
Solution Focused Brief (SFBT)
I can provide individual/couple or group sessions.
Hello, My name is Keith.
I have obtained two graduate degrees: one in Measurement/Assessment and one in Educational Counselling. These two degrees reflect my main interests in psychology; the evaluation of mental health challenges and the application of evidence-based solutions. I have experience counselling clients ranging from elementary age children to senior citizens in both clinical and school settings.
I journey with each client as a partner with the common goal of providing an understanding of mental health challenges and using therapeutic methods to minimize or overcome these challenges.
My approaches to assisting individuals include existentialism, cognitive behavioural therapy, cognitive processing therapy, EMDR, mindfulness, solution focused, and attachment-based therapeutic techniques.
Hello, my name is Andrew.
My position at KBP Counselling Group is that of the business manager. I was born and grew up here in Edmonton and I have worn a number of hats in my years prior. Most recently, I was a Registered Paramedic in the province for 15 years.
